At ASR Electrical & Renewables Ltd, we believe in transparent pricing with no hidden costs.
We charge a fixed labour fee of £350 for every EV charger installation. This covers far more than simply fitting the charger. It includes all the planning, compliance, testing, certification and administration required to ensure your installation is completed safely and in accordance with the latest UK regulations.
We never cut corners. Over the last five years, we have personally completed more than 1,500 EV charger installations, giving our customers the confidence that their installation is being carried out by an experienced, qualified installer.

What Are Miscellaneous Installation Materials?
Every installation requires a number of consumable materials to complete the work safely and professionally. These may include:
- Cable glands
- Cable cleats or Super Clips
- Wall plugs and fixings
- Screws and bolts
- Silicone sealant
- Warning labels
- Identification labels
- Cable ties
- Grommets
- Heat shrink
- Flexible conduit
- PVC conduit and fittings (where required)
- Junction boxes (where required)
- Fire-rated sealant (where required)
These materials are essential for achieving a safe, tidy and compliant installation.
Standard Installation
A standard installation is suitable where:
- Your consumer unit is modern and complies with current regulations.
- A spare way or unused circuit is available.
- The cable route is straightforward.
- The charger can be mounted directly to a suitable wall.
- Our standard installation includes:
- Installation of one customer-supplied EV charger.
- Up to 10 metres of EV cable.
- Surface-mounted cable installation.
- Standard wall mounting to brick or block.
- Electrical testing and commissioning.
- Electrical Installation Certificate.
- DNO notification where required.
- Charger commissioning and app setup.
- Full customer demonstration.
- Removal of all installation waste.
Additional Work
Some installations require additional work depending on your property's electrical installation. This may include:
- Cable runs exceeding 10 metres.
- Difficult cable routes through lofts, under floors or multiple walls.
- Consumer unit upgrades.
- Installation of a dedicated EV consumer unit.
- Surge Protection Device (SPD).
- RCBO installation.
- Additional isolation switches.
- CT clamps or load management devices.
- Three-phase installations.
- Mounting posts.
- Excavation or trenching.
- Bonding to utility services
Any additional work will always be discussed with you before installation begins. We will never carry out chargeable work without your approval.
